Dublin is located near stage coach routes that crossed Dublin, and for for a thriving little town in the 1860's, those routes became what are now
San Ramon Blvd. and Highway 580. During the past 20 years, the rapidly expanding Tri-Valley area has become renowned as a place of prosperity, a center for internationally acclaimed business parks, and home to some of the world's largest corporations. The city uses a clover leaf as it's symbol and is known for it's annual St. Patrick's Day Festival. Since the city's incorporation in 1982, the city's population has increased as both residents and businesses came to call Dublin their home. From a population of approximately 14,300 in 1982, the City of Dublin has grown to a resident population of 48,821. The City has consistently been one of the fastest growing cities in Alameda County for the past several years.
